We are open 5 days a week within the RTC.
The Library is open from 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to friday.

Membership is a once only joining Fee of $5 for an individual and $10 for a Family.

The borrowing period is 3 weeks and extensions of  loans
can be made in person or over the phone  on 5476 2360

The Newstead Community Library currently holds over 7,000 items including
Adult, Young Adult, Children's Fiction; Picture Books; Non-Fiction;
Cassettes; Videos;CD's;DVD's; and Talking Books

The Library is operated completely by volunteers including the classification, covering, cataloguing of items, and the loans, returns, and all shelf maintenance.

We are unfunded and raise monies for our operation from a book sale table in the RTC and a once a year BIG BOOKSALE held during the Newstead Live Festival each year.

In 2010 the BOOKSALE will be held on Saturday January 23rd in the RTC.

The current Collection has developed from the generous donations of books and resources from the local community and friends, to whom we remain greatly indebted and we thank you all.
