Loddon River Restoration Plan

A draft of the Loddon River Restoration Plan is now available for viewing and comment. At the Newstead 2021 Community Summit in 2008, the local community expressed that the restoration of the natural values of the river was very important. From this meeting, it was agreed that Newstead Landcare Group would facilitate the development of this plan.

This plan has been developed following several community meetings, mapping of assets and threats by Landcare volunteers, bird surveys and with the input of experts in biodiversity conservation.

A draft plan is now available for comment. Visit the Newstead 2021 blog (newstead2021.wordpress.com) to view or download a copy. Copies are also available for viewing at Newstead Community Centre and Dig Café. We welcome any comments and suggestions. You can email them to patrickkavanagh@bigpond.com or call Patrick Kavanagh on 5476 2755. Feel free to ring if you’d like a copy sent to you.
