The Annual General Meeting of the Newstead Fire Brigade Auxiliary was held on 24 October 2011 at the Fire Station.  In accordance with our constitution the bi-annual election of office bearers was held.  Office bearers for the next two years are as follows:

President - Florence Hepburn
Vice President - Kylie Longmire
Secretary - Joan Sartori
Treasurer - Carmel Longmire

As usual fund raising in support of our brigade has continued to be our main objective over the last year.  Catering for functions and the running of our bi-monthly dances have proved to be our major fundraisers.

It was pleasing to welcome three new members this year, we hope that you will all enjoy a  long and happy association with this auxillary.

Two of our members attended the Fire Brigade Auxillary Conference in Bendigo last April and come hope inspired with lots of new ides.

Three of our members were recognised for their years of service as members of the Auxiiary at the recent awards day which was held at the Fire Station on Sunday, 23 October - Janet Trudgeon 30 years, Joan Butler 20 years and Bev Ince 10 years.  Congratulations to our members and also to all other members of the brigade who were recognised for their years of service on the day.
