Appointments can be made by ringing the RTC on 5476 2360 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, or you can just turn up and take your chances!

Rural Transaction Centre (RTC)

The RTC is a community service organisation, located at 45 Lyons Street, Newstead.  This was the former Newstead Shire Office building,and has been made available to our community (by Mount Alexander Shire Council) on a "peppercorn", long-term lease.

From this site, the following services/facilities are available, in a user-friendly environment:

We are open 5 days a week within the RTC.
The Library is open from 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to friday.

Membership is a once only joining Fee of $5 for an individual and $10 for a Family.

The borrowing period is 3 weeks and extensions of  loans
can be made in person or over the phone  on 5476 2360

The Newstead Community Library currently holds over 7,000 items including
